The Bather’s Decalogue
1 - Don’t go in the water if you’re not in perfect psychophysical conditions;
2 - Also if you’re a good swimmer don’t force yourself;
3 - After a long exposure to the sun enter gradually in water;
4 - Before going in water let pass at least three hours after the last meal;
5 - Don’t enter in water if the red flag is exposed;
6 - If you can’t swim bathe only in very shallow waters.
7 - Don’t go further than the buoys that delimitate the safe bathing zone;
8 - Don’t go further than 50 m from the beach when using mattresses, floating aids or small rubber boats;
9 - Avoid diving from rocks;
10 - Observe what is prescribed by the ordinances that discipline the bathing activities, and particularly:
- don’t disturb the tranquility of the bathers (making loud noises, games, radio at high volume);
- don’t carry animals on the beach, except in those zones where it is explicitly allowed;
- don’t put up tends, light fires, or camp on the beach.
